Homework Note Week 28

Post date: 23-Jun-2018 22:04:57

Dear Parents,

I hope everyone enjoyed the School tour and the cycling day the previous week. See our school and class website for some photos. Your child’s yearly report was given out last week. There is an information sheet (1st only) on these standardized tests and the meaning of the results for you and your child. As always you can contact me by email below if you have any queries.

If you see a test in the homework folder please sign and return it to me. We are planning on having some scientists visit the class this week.

Thank you for supporting the Senior and 1st Class teaching team during the year. The children have had great support from Ms O’Connor, Mrs Lillis, Mrs O’ Callaghan, Margaret Broderick and Mary O’Brien. Thanks also to all the other staff in the school for helping to run everything smoothly. We have not completed every page of every workbook. We have covered the curriculum in other more interesting ways. Any unused copy books will be sent home too. These can be used in 1st/2nd class.

The book lists for 2018/2019 has gone out. Please contact me if you have not got one.

I am giving a prize for the child with the most tasks completed in the school year on Studyladder and PhonicsHero (in class).

Finally, I would like to thank everyone for your support over the past school year. A big thanks to the people who visited our class. It has been a privilege to teach such wonderful children. Their energy, optimism, enthusiasm and can do attitude have made it a great 2017/2018 for me. I hope you have a great summer.

Thanks

Mr. Gleeson
