  • The Mayor of Limerick City and County visits Scoil Mhuire The Mayor of Limerick City and County Mr. Steven Keary came to visit Scoil Mhuire today. The Junior and Senior Infants waved their flags to welcome him. Ross gave the welcoming speech and all the pupils gathered in the Halla to ask him questions. They wanted to know were the chains made of real gold and were amazed to find out they were and that they weighed a kilogram and were insured for 70,000 euro. He was asked everything from what his favourite colour was, to who did he think would win the Munster Hurling Final. He predicted Clare would win and that his daughter Ms. Keary was born in Clare ! He gave us the good news that money ...

  • Retirement Mass for Mr. O' Sullivan Fr. Donworth said a beautiful retirement mass for Mr. O' Sullivan on Tuesday 19th June in St. Mary's Church Pallaskenry. Míle buiochas to all who contributed to the celebration.  Mr. O' Sullivan is retiring this year after 40 years service, 28 of which were spent in Scoil Mhuire N.S. He gave incredible service to the pupils of Scoil Mhuire and will be sorely missed by pupils, staff and parents.When I chatted to the children about Mr. O' Sullivan and the impact he had on them as a teacher they were quick to answer 'We loved Sir', 'Sir was the best teacher ever' 'Sir was amazing', 'Sir kept us on our toes' !   • 6th Class Graduation in the Halla today at 1pm Congratulations to all the boys and girls who graduated today. We had a lovely graduation ceremony, consisting of a prayer service, a variety concert, speeches and a slide show. Staff provided the cupán tae afterwards and Steven Quinn, Isobelle's grandad, provided the pancakes. Go n-éirí an bóthar leis na páisti go léir sa mhéanscoil.
