The Lenten Campaign

posted 7 Apr 2016, 09:30 by Anne Lillis
The Lenten Campaign organised by the children in Ms. O' Sullivan's 5th and 6th class was a wonderful success. Over 3,000 euro was raised for charity. The charities chosen by the children to receive the money this year were Brú Columbanus, Irish Cancer Association, Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind and St. Gabriel's School and Centre. The children displayed great initiative, entrepreneurial skill and leadership in setting up the various stalls which included sponge throwing, penalties, bowling, cards and jewellery, second hand books and toys, darts, Easter egg raffle, cup and ball, jellies in the jar, obstacle course, face painting and cake sales. The children in the other classes loved supporting and engaging with the different activities. Well done to all, it was a joy to see the children taking complete ownership of the Lenten Campaign. Míle buiochas to the children and to the parents, guardians and staff for your generousity and support.
