Homework Note Week 31

Dear Parents,
We will be finishing with our theme of Vikings this week and moving on to Electricity. If you have any items of interest please send them in. We will return them in a few weeks. Our last theme in June will be the World Cup. However if you have an item of interest (such as an occupation or experiment etc) please let me know and we can accommodate you if you want to visit the class. For 1st Class please sign and return your childs Table tests from the last few weeks.
Hurling will continue now on Tuesdays and Fridays. Team Teaching continues on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. Our school tour will be on Friday June 22nd. We were learning oy words last week your child came up with _____ words.
Word Wallet activities.
This week we are learning words that have a magic e at the end and contain the ‘a’ sound
ate, ape, game (Mon)
lane, gate, save (Tues)
made, name, cake (Weds)
bake, wake, make (Thurs)
Tricky Word activities. – We are learning the Tricky Words 5 list – green words
Match the coloured card to its place on the white card.
Say the word.
Ask the children for a sentence with that word in it. (I saw that they were lost.)
Aistear Theme: Vikings/Electricity
Grow in Love:There is usually an activity to be completed in it each week.
Super Troopers:We are on Gold Week 2. There are some fun activities to try at home.
Word Wallets/Tools for school: Please ensure that your child has all the sounds/names/tools.
We are talking about the Electricity. 1st Class will continue spellings and revising tables (-1 to -10) There are always activities to be completed on studyladder. We are continuing to learn the green Tricky Word List.
