The Christmas concert was held in Scoil Mhuire on Wednesday 21st December at 11.30am. The children and staff put in trojan work practicing for the concert and there was a great turn out on the day. The school set dancers got the concert off to great start. Junior Infants,Senior Infants, First Class and Second class performed the nativity play Born in a Barn and they were fantastic. Third Class performed Syncronised Swimming, a scene from the Titanic, sporting heroes in slow motion and Christmas songs. They were amazing. Fourth and Fifth Class performed the Irish drama Na Trí Muicín and The Prodical Son and the acting and singing was brilliant.  Finally Fifth and Sixth Class performed a play The Rose of Pallaskenry which was written by themselves and their teacher. They were brilliant. The play was hilarious, the costumes were amazing  and the children were very accomplished actors.  The Scoil Mhuire music group played a series of Christmas tunes on the day and they were fantastic. Children from the senior classes performed Irish dancing and they were world class. The children and staff provided refreshments and a great day was had by all. Míle buiochas to all who made the concert such a wonderful success.
