PROBLEM- SOLVING SKILLS

posted 3 Apr 2019, 08:22 by Anne Lillis   [ updated 7 Apr 2019, 13:45 ]

Sincere thanks to Sinéad our psychologist from Cambridge University for working with the children over the past few weeks. She works at the Centre for Attention Learning and Memory, at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit. She is running a research project about children's problem solving skills and is conducting research on how children process, understand, and learn new and complex information. Problem- solving skills are crucial for learning but more importantly, for navigating complex problems that arise in everyday life.  The children have really enjoyed working with Sinéad on problem solving and memory tasks on a computer and in books.

U13 Hurling update

posted 26 Mar 2019, 09:08 by Vincent Gleeson

Well done to all our school hurlers today in our first match of 2019. We had a tough battle with neighbours Kildimo National School at Pallaskenry GAA pitch.
Some players from 3rd and 4th class were representing the school for the first time. We had some strong performances in defense, midfield and attack
but ended up on the wrong side of 7-4 to 2-3 scoreline. We have 2 more matches coming up in the league format both away from home.
Training continues every Thursday after school.
