Homework Note week 38

Post date: 21-Jun-2017 14:29:10

Dear Parents,

I hope everyone enjoyed the School tour and the cycling day last week. See our school and class website for some photos. Your child’s yearly report should be going home today. There is an information sheet on these tests and the meaning of the results for you and your child. As always you can contact me by email below if you have any queries.

We have a fun walk planned for tomorrow Tuesday. We are continuing our theme of Electricity. Thank you for sending in all the items for our table. I will return those next week. We are doing buddy reading now with 4th and 5th class. Each child has a buddy from the older class to help them select and read a suitable book from the library. If you see a test in the homework folder please sign and return it to me.

There will be no homework next week so as such this will be my last homework note.

.

Thank you for supporting the Senior and 1st Class teaching team during the year. The children have had great support from Ms O’Connor, Mrs Lillis, Ms O’ Callaghan and Margaret as well as Shane O’Brien who completed a teaching practice in the class. Thanks also to all the other staff in the school for helping to run everything smoothly. We have not completed every page of every workbook. We have covered the curriculum in other more interesting ways. Any unused copy books will be sent home too. These can be used in 1st/2nd class.

The book lists for 2017/2018 have gone out. Please contact me if you have not got one.

I am giving a prize for the child with the most tasks completed in the school year on Studyladder and PhonicsHero (in class).

Finally, I would like to thank everyone for your support over the past school year. A big thanks to the people who visited our class. It has been a privilege to teach such wonderful children. Their energy, optimism, enthusiasm and can do attitude have made it a great 2016/2017 for me. I hope you have a great summer.

Thanks

Mr. Gleeson
