Homework Note Week 10

Dear Parents,

I hope you had a great mid term. Thanks to Ann-Marie our chef who visited us last week. I will try to return all the items from the Café. We are moving on to our new Aistear theme of the Doctor. If you have any items or clothes that will help us play please send them in. If you have an idea for a theme (and you will pay us a visit) please let me know.

This week we are learning the “ng” sound.

Grow in Love:There is usually an activity to be completed in it each week.

Super Troopers:We are on Purple Week 1. There are some fun activities to try at home.

Word Wallets/Tools for school: Please ensure that your child has all the sounds/names/tools. I often give dojo points to the children who have all of theirs.

Word Wallet activities.

Jolly Phonics Ask the children to make a word or words using the sounds (green cards) they already have. This week we are working on words that contain the “ng” sound. Try to make these words

ring, sing, bang, song, wing, hang, long,

king, strong, wrong, sting

Sight Words: Match, say, make a sentence. We are finishing the names this week.

This week we will talk about Halloween and we are learning about time. Our parent teacher meeting is on Thursday November 23^rd after school. I can meet parents outside of that time too. I will provide more details on that soon.
