Homework Note Week 34

Dear Parents,

We plan on having a class hurling blitz this Thursday at 1pm at the Pallaskenry GAA pitch (weather permitting). Please come along and support if you are free. We have no school on Friday. We plan to have our Micra T (English) Standardized Test this week also on Wednesday and Thursday and the Sigma T (Maths) Standardized test next week on Tuesday and Wednesday. These tests are for 1st class only and we will share the results with you in the end of year report card.

We were learning “o” with a magic e words. Your child came up with _____ words.

Word Wallet activities.

This week we are learning words that have a magic e at the end and contain the ‘u’ sound

1. tune, huge, prune (Mon)

2. rude, Jude, use (Tues)

3. brute, useful, dune (Weds)

Tricky Word activities. – We are learning the Tricky Words 5 list – green words

Match the coloured card to its place on the white card.

Say the word.

Ask the children for a sentence with that word in it. (I saw that they were lost.)

Grow in Love:There is usually an activity to be completed in it each week.

Word Wallets/Tools for school: Please ensure that your child has all the sounds/names/tools.

We are talking about the Electricity. 1st Class will revise spellings this week.There are always activities to be completed on studyladder. We are continuing to learn the green Tricky Word List.
