Homework Note Week 8

Dear Parents,

Thank you for your support with the Super Troopers program. This week the plan is to try some new games and vegetables. We hope to have a visit from a real chef this week. We will finish with our Cafe theme soon and then move on to the Doctor. If you have an idea for a theme (and you will pay us a visit) please let me know.

This week we are learning the “ee” and “or” sound.

Grow in Love: There is usually an activity to be completed in it each week.

Super Troopers: I will be teaching the activities in school during the week. There are some fun activities to try at home over the next few weeks. We will see how that goes.

Word Wallets/Tools for school: Please ensure that your child has all the sounds/names/tools. I often give dojo points to the children who have all of theirs.

Word Wallet activities.

Jolly Phonics Ask the children to make a word or words using the sounds (green cards) they already have. This week we are working on words that contain the “ee” or “or” sound. Try to make these words bee, see, sheep, feet and tree

fork, short, torch, corn and storm

Sight Words: Match, say, make a sentence.

This week we will talk about Storm Ophelia and Halloween. We were planning on visiting Curraghchase Forest Park next week. More details to follow if it is going ahead.
