We were delighted to welcome Michael O' Halloran and Mary O' Callaghan of the Kenry Historical Society to the school. Michael spoke to 5th and 6th class students about Fionn Grogan's great grand uncle Christopher Miller who was shot in the 1916 Rising. We were also delighted to welcome Fionn's Granddad Peter Miller and his mother Janet .

Michael also came to talk to the class about Cumann na mBan and the involvement of Midie O' Rourke née Wallace, the mother of George O' Rourke of Glenameade. George came to visit and brought along the Cumann na mBan medal presented to his mother, spoke to the children and answered their questions. Mile buíochas to all .
